MINDFULNESS
Remember, your health is more than just your diet. We need to feed mind, body and soul.

These are my 4 daily habits to boost my inner calm.

STRETCH
Mindful stretching should be done first thing in the morning, or right before you go to bed.
Hold these stretches for at least 2 minutes at a time and breathe deeply as you hold them. Be mindful of what you are stretching and the feel of oxygen rushing through your system as you do it—it will help you learn to be more mindful of your body.

MEDITATION
Meditation helps me reduce stress, increase calmness and clarity and promote happiness. Mindful meditation involves paying close attention to the present moment — especially our own thoughts, emotions and sensations — whatever it is that’s happening. Listening to basic guided meditations can be helpful.

SOUND HEALING
Sound or singing bowls are said to promote relaxation and the vibrations of a singing bowl can have beneficial changes in the body including reducing stress, balancing the body's energy system, among other healing properties. These are key in chakra alignment.

JOURNAL
Mindful journaling is a great way to practice mindfulness and get your thoughts and feelings out in a more creative manner. Whether it's just my thoughts and feelings or studying scriptures, I make sure to dedicate time to this every morning or night.
